Students, administration and teachers REALLY got into the literary spirit for our first ever Literary Spirit Day when they came to school dressed wearing something inspired by their favorite author, book or character. We were lucky - and thrilled - to see Miss Viola Swamp, The Wizard of Oz, Things 1 - 6, 101 Dalmations, Harry Potter, Dog Man and so many more grace the halls of P.S./I.S. 104 in support of literature.

After a year off, the Scholastic Book Fair was back. For the first time ever, we held this beloved event outdoors in our schoolyard. Thanks to all our volunteers, custodian team and "Gatto Squad," who showed up every morning and afternoon to set up and take down hundreds of books and dozens of displays in under 30 minutes!
Cannonball Park was turned into a spooktacular wonderland when the PTA hosted The Pumpkin Stroll. Hundreds of decorated pumpkins - donated by our students - lined the cobblestone pathways of this picturesque park as more than half of our entire school community showed up for a gorgeous evening of costumes, activities and fall treats. The PTA partnered with NIA to bring a food truck and photo booth to the event and Bay Ridge/Sunset Park Rocks provided rocks, paints and materials for crafty fun. To celebrate Día de Muertos, a Day of the Dead ofrenda with pictures of our families and staff's ancestors, was beautifully displayed. Thank you to our partners, NYC Parks & Services, our families and our staff, who handed out candy and goodies all evening long on our trick-or-treat trail!
Together with volunteers and our custodian team, the P.S./I.S. 104 "Gatto Squad" turned our outdoor space into a bonafide pumpkin patch! Students in K-5 took home a free pumpkin courtesy of the PTA, Whole Foods and Foodtown. We cannot thank these wonderful supermarkets enough for donating over 700 pumpkins - enough to gift every elementary student and arts students in 6-8.
The weather was gorgeous and the view even better! On Sunday, September 26th, the PTA hosted the first annual, Yoga in the Park. Parents, teachers and principals gathered for a one-hour class led by Erica Stavrou of Owl's Head Yoga. Baya Bar provided the most delicious smoothie bowls and 100% of all proceeds is going to our Fall festivities! Thank you so much to Owl's Head Yoga and Baya Bar for their incredible generosity!
104PTA welcomed the newest members of the 104 family on the 1st day of school after Kindergarten drop-off in front of the Annex. One lucky parent walked away with a basket full of books donated by Tilbury House Publishers!
First day photo stations featuring Alpha and beautiful balloon arrangements by 104 parent, Lori B. of Balloons by Lori B. Kids and families had a blast as they posed for pics before heading into the new school year!
Incoming Kindergarteners were treated to a virtual bedtime story on the night before their big day. Thank you to 104 principal, Ms. Gordon, for reading such a special book during this fun-filled pajama party!
Our students and their families really turned up to chalk the walk on Sunday, September 12th! With beautiful art and inspirational messages at both the Main Building and the Annex, they made sure their peers would be greeted with lots of love and motivation on their 1st day back!
Our hard-working and incredibly dedicated staff and teachers were treated to a much-deserved, grab&go breakfast on their first day back. Thank you to all the volunteers who were up bright and early to set this wonderful morning up!
